WFD believes in remembering those stricken by cancer, honouring their fight against the disease and raising funds to help fight back in finding a cure.
Since 2009, although the members of our team may change from year to year all members of the WFD family continue to be committed to the Relay for Life. We support this great cause by entering a team (WFD Sparky’s) in the 12 hour walk, providing MFR services during the event, and by assisting the Relay committee whenever possible.
We are very proud the WFD Honour Guard will lead the initial walk around the track.
We RELAY to honour and remember Chief Fred Fox and all members of our fire department family and friends who have been touched by cancer.
We RELAY to celebrate the cancer survivors in our fire department family.
We RELAY because we know even though fires are fought as safely as possible, volunteer firefighters face an increased risk of cancer due to exposure to toxic chemicals and by-products of combustion at fire scenes.
Windsor Fire Department is committed to fight back against cancer the same way we fight fires.
